ENERGY ADVISOR / SENIOR ENERGY ADVISOR


Brighton Energy is a Sacramento based energy services company, providing survey, design, and program administration to clients throughout California. The Company subcontracts with local electric utilities to administer rebate programs to meet energy savings goals. Brighton Energy is seeking an Energy Advisor and Sr. Energy Advisor who would like to grow with our business as we provide mentoring and advancement opportunities. The Energy Advisors will engage local Sacramento businesses to assess opportunities for energy savings and build a comprehensive plan for implementing retrofits, demand response and electric vehicle charging stations. By applying utility rebates and deploying the latest energy efficient technology, the Energy Advisor will help business to reduce operational expense enabling reinvestment in growth opportunities. 

Responsibilities

• Approach and build relationships with decision makers in local businesses (commercial customers)
• Respond quickly to inbound leads (from partner Utilities) and canvas commercial rate-payers to grow project pipeline
• Conduct comprehensive commercial energy efficiency audits
• Ensure accurate customer information is entered into the audit and design tools
• Promote and strongly encourage customer participation in local utilities’ commercial rebate program
• Generate, present, and get customer by in on energy savings proposals specific to each business
• Collaborate with Program Contractors to ensure installation process runs smoothly
• Conduct post-installation quality control inspections
• Employ a continuous program improvement process in the daily workflow
• Work to ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
• Thrive in a competitive environment by reaching and exceeding goals
• Compile accurate and timely forecasts and reports for management

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated success with customer facing, presentations and consulting
• Demonstrated success opening up/expanding into new markets and territories
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Accuracy with reporting analysis and strong attention to detail
• Ability to acquire and use technical information accurately in the field
• Ability to adapt work style and approach to evolving market conditions
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent oral communication, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work work with diverse commercial customers.
• Professional demeanor, spotless driving record, and ability to pass background check
• BA/BS or three years of experience in a professional setting


Desired Qualifications

• Three or more years of industry experience
• Small/medium size commercial energy efficiency audit or installation
• Experience in electrical contracting, maintenance, or equivalent field

Work Environment

The Energy Advisor is predominately in the field with minimal time in the office. A personal vehicle is required and mileage will be reimbursed as per federal guidelines.

Compensation

The compensation for this position consists of an annual base salary and an additional quarterly incentive based on kilowatt hours saved and meeting individual goals. Brighton Energy offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Compensation is negotiable based on skills and experience
